Aušra Kazlauskienė is a professor at Vilnius University (Lithuania), Doctor of Social Sciences (Education). Her research interests include teacher performance in change conditions (teacher engagement in change and professional resilience, self-directed teaching and learning). Significant projects she has worked on or is currently working on include: DigiMaths4All (2025–2028), which aims to transform the education system: a national education culture based on scientific research, learning analytics and artificial intelligence is being formed; SMOM project, which created a self-directed learning system (designed to operate in conditions of uncertainty); DIGITAL FIRST (2023–2026) – together with partners from 10 EU countries, we are analyzing the transformation of computer science education, constructing a new paradigm – a functional approach; CTIS – analyzing critical thinking and media literacy issues in teacher training; INTERPEARL – issues of innovative teacher education using personalized learning.

Resultados destacables
A self-directed learning system has been created in a general education school. A national motivation assessment system has been developed for applicants to teacher training programmes. Co-author and creator of the qualitative data analysis program «Quality».

Through education, I want to awaken people’s inner freedom and desire to create a meaningful world. I want education that does not impose knowledge, but ignites the light of the soul and freedom of thought.
