I am completely convinced that, with hope and enthusiasm we can make our part towards clarifying biology, epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention and control of parasitic diseases.

How did you come to science and why are you still here?

As a child I would stare at every bug I came across until it left, watching its behavior and morphology. It is still a passion, which has turned into a profession.

There must always be good will, harmony and concord between politics and researchers, for research is one of the pillars which sustains a country
